Paint My World

Welcome to our website

Welcome to Mikealixonline.webnode.com

This area is dedicated to presenting experiments in painting conception and execution. Painting is not, as most people think, 90 percent craft and 10 percent content, rather it is a marriage of an original conception and an adequate execution. Painting has no depth value as a mere repetition of the works of the past, either tirelessly technical and/or boringly unimaginative.

Visitor's notice

I'll try to explain. What is originality?  It's showing a spectator a vision he or she has never seen. If you've already seen it somewhere, if it is a mere variation on known subject matter, it has little originality. Of course, it (the stuff, content, etc.) can't become so original as to lose all bearing with what has been done in the past or is being done today; art needs to defend its originality using a kind of "case method" -- by arguing its livelihood and showing how it applies known ideas in a new way.
