About XPOSART

XPOSART is a non-profit organization launched in southern France three years ago to help bring art to the attention of new viewers. In a sense, art has no place in a state-owned space or museum while it is still "alive," while it is still fighting for it livelihood. Let the successful artists hem in the cloistered spaces, new art needs to breathe.

The organization proposes "manifestations" -- ways of bringing the art before the public especially through private institutions (we are not in the business of giving the control of new art to politicians and administrators). Business and industry, and private property are our target clients and sponsors.

We loan pictures for 1, 2, or 3 years for free. Of course, they are just examples of a painter's work -- the entire production of a painter doesn't come up for grabs. Membership (for both art-makers and sympathizers) is free.

Generally, we don't exclude government help, but we don't really feel that it is the business of government to make artistic decisions. Government administrators often have a propagandistic or moralistic notion behind their support of creativity, thinking that all artists have time to spare with incessant political and charitable. We need to fight to live our lives, primordially.
